Summary of podcast ‘Take workplace safety to the next level with safe hoisting’

Safe hoisting is essential for workplace safety. In our ‘safe hoisting’ training course, participants learn how to use hoisting equipment, what legal requirements hoisting equipment must meet, what to look out for, and how to use this equipment.

Although legal requirements regarding safe hoisting courses are limited, it is important that employers provide their employees with proper instruction on the use of hoisting equipment. The training courses combine theory and practice to ensure that participants know what the hoisting equipment consists of, what the rejection criteria are, and how best to attach a load. Practical exercises are carried out in groups, with participants assessing each other and discussing what went wrong and what went right.

Training courses can vary from half a day to a full day, depending on the customer's wishes. New students can start with a basic course in safe hoisting, while experienced professionals can refresh their knowledge with toolbox meetings. All training courses can be given either on site or at a Mennens location.
